Scrap The Girls

Scrap The Girls- November Challenge

This was a great challenge, loved the sketch
from Scrap The Girls.
It was nice to do a more girly type layout.
Thanks for stopping by xx

Challenge YOUrself

One thing I very rarely scrapbook is a photo of just me!!
There is always a photo of my kids or hubby that needs
scrapping, I never really think about scrapbooking a
photo of myself. So taking on this challenge was really good.
I will definitely make time to take on this challenge again.
Here I am enjoying my favourite past time in Las Vegas.
Who doesn't love a frozen margarita or 10!!!!

Scrap Around The World - November Challenge

Scrap Around The World - November Challenge

What a gorgeous colour scheme for this months challenge

Here is my layout for the challenge. Got to love
a selfie or two in front of the Christmas tree!!!
I have had this WOW chipboard piece for such a long
time and I think it worked in perfect for this layout.
I love the red and white flair, just gives a little
bit of colour to the layout without making it a
Christmas overload. Thanks for stopping by xx

This is WOW Creations first ever challenge.
What a lovely colour combination.

Doilies and WOW product. I have used a WOW
Chipboard piece called Raspberry Whirl RWL9269.
Thank you WOW Creations for letting me take part
in your very first challenge. I look
forward to participating in many more xx

The Flair Studio Challenge - November

This months challenge was to use the colours black
and white on our layout as well as a black and white
photo and of course a lovely flair.

It was quiet appropriate that I use photos of my
daughter for this layout as the only colours in her
wardrobe are black and white and also grey.
Her friends tease her regularly about how bright and
colourful she is (NOT). She certainly doesn't care as that
is her style and no one is going to change her....
and we wouldn't want her to change, she is gorgeous
just the way she is!!!
OH.. and did I mention tomorrow is her last day
of high school. (insert - sad teary mumma face)

White With 1 November Challenge

White With 1 - November Challenge

Another great challenge from White With 1.
They have picked my least favourite colour for
this challenge. I don't own any grape/purple
paper or embellishments but luckily I happened
to have some Kaisercraft paint.
I must say I really really love this layout
and grape/purple works really well with white. Who knows
I might even use this colour again on another layout ;)
Thanks White with 1 for getting me out of my comfort zone.

123 October Challenge

123 Challenge - October Challenge

Here is my layout for the 123 Challenge. First
time I have taken part in this challenge and I
really loved it. I like that you have to include a
certain  colour, a word and a technique to the layout
and the lime colour was exactly what I had intended
using for this photo so it made it easy for me to decide
which photo to use for this challenge.
Cheers girls, love you both xx

Isn't my girl just gorgeous

I've been busy sorting through photos on my computer.
I quickly realised that I am about 3 years behind in
scrapbooking Leah's photos. I have scrapped lots of her
photos but its not up to date like I'd like it to be.

So guess what is a priority at the moment?
Yep...I have printed all the photos I want to scrap,
I have them in order of how they need to go in her albums
and now I am busy scrapping photos of my gorgeous girl
who isn't so little anymore, she only has now more
week of high school left.
Wish I could press the rewind button and slow things down.

Must say I'm a little torn. I just don't want her to
finish school and grow up but then part of me is
excited for her and for what the future holds.
On a positive, think of all the photos I can
scrapbook of her and her new adventures.
Wishing you the world of happiness my gorgeous girl xxx

The Flair Studio Challenge

The Flair Studio - October Challenge

Flowers, Flairs, Lace and Greys are a
lovely combination for this challenge.

Thought I'd take up The Funky Flairs
Challenge this month. Fun challenge to do,
colour scheme suits my style too.

White...with 1

White...with 1 'Peach Puff' Challenge

Hi, thanks for stopping by....
So glad I joined in this month's challenge as I'm
really happy with the end result.
I really should create layouts using peach more often,
it is such a pretty colour but one I would have never
chosen if it wasn't for this challenge.
And yes my darling girl does
make my world happy. Love you Leah xx

Scrapping Outback October 'White with a twist' Rainbow Challenge

Scrapping Outback 'White with a twist' Rainbow Challenge

This was a fun challenge. I got to use my new
LindysStampGang Sprays and have a little play around.
My rainbow isn't as bright as the inspiration above but
I'm not a bright and colourful kind of layout girl.
While I love bright layouts, mine are always
a little more subdued. Maybe thats a challenge for me,
get out of my comfort zone and brighten it up!!!
Have a wonderful day x

WOW - Words or Whatever October Challenge

WOW Words Or Whatever - Triple Treat October Challenge

These lovely chipboard pieces were sent to us to use in
this months challenge. It is the first time I have participated
in the WOW challenge and I'm glad I joined in.
I love using chipboard on my layouts, you can do so much with it.
I chose to cut it up, spray with mists and also cover some pieces with  crackle accents.

Off The Rails Scrapbooking - October Mood Palette Challenge

Off The Rails Scrapbooking - October Mood Palette Challenge

This layout turned out nothing like I had planned
it to be like. Thats ok though, thats scrapping.
Still happy with the end result.
Thanks for stopping by x

Kraft Plus - Inspired by Nature October Challenge

Kraft Plus  - Inspired by Nature October Challenge

Great idea for a mood board this month.
Really enjoying taking part in these challenges.

Again I loved participating in this challenge.
I must say I have never added feathers or nature
items to my layouts before. What a great idea.
For something different I stamped a butterfly on the
leaf that I used and I also had wash tape with a
butterfly on it. My other piece of nature was the part
of a twig that I put near the twine.
Happy scrapping everyone x

Sunday, 20 September 2015

I had a very productive day and night yesterday at my
favourite scrapbook shop - Somewhere To Scrap in Brisbane.
We had lots of fun and laughs with the lovely girls.
Here are just a few of the layouts that I did.

Enjoy whats left of the weekend. Happy scrapping x

Tuesday, 15 September 2015

Finally thought it was time to take this photo out of the
frame it has been in for years and scrapbook it.
I always find it hard to scrapbook such a big photo as it doesn't leave much room on the page to embellish. Tanya x

Friday, 11 September 2015

This layout was a work in progress. I kept walking passed the layout and I would add something new to it each time. Although I've had cogs for a long time I've never used them as I have trouble placing them so I bit the bullet and put some metal and chipboard ones on this layout. Must say I don't mind them either.
Enjoy your weekend x

Off the Rails Scrapbooking - Moodboard Challenge

Off the Rails Scrapbooking - September Challenge

I just love the colours in this mood board.

Quite a busy layout for me, but I'm really enjoying playing around with gesso, inks, stamps, chipboard and microbeads.
Thanks for stopping by my blog x

Kraft + Tri Hard September Challenge

This is Septembers challenge at Kraft +

Well here it is, I've stepped out of my  comfort zone to participate in this challenge. This is a first for me.
I enjoyed it so much that I'll be back to do more!!!

Such fun photos to scrap of my daughter and her friends at a charity day at school. The layout needed to be fun too, which is why I chose to use ink, stamps and distress paint. I always love a bit of hand stitching on layouts so I have stitched the red and pink triangles to keep with the challenge layout.
Have a great day x

Saturday, 5 September 2015

I love this layout of Leah and her Nan. Shows the silliness these two get up to. A fun and easy layout to create.
