123 Challenge January 2016

123 Challenge January 2016

Hello,thanks for stopping by!
This months challenge rules were to use
Yellow, Together and Texture on your layout.
Yellow was the perfect choice of colour for this
layout of my daughter Leah
(or Jessie as per costume) and her friends.

I love the colours of this challenge. White, Grey,
Silver and Black are colours I love to use on a layout.
I'm really happy how the chipboard frame turned out.
I have painted the frame using silver distress paint
and then used crackle accent to gloss it up and give the
crackled look. While still wet I dipped parts of the frame
in silver microbeads. Love those tiny little beggars!!
Have a great day x

Australia Day Cyber Crop

Scrapping clearly - Australia Day Cyber Crop

Well I must say I had a wonderful time taking
part in Scrapping Clearly's Australia Day Cyber Crop.

This is only the second time they have held a Cyber Crop
and it was my first time taking part. It certainly won't
be my last time, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was nice seeing other ladies scrap rooms and layouts
as well as chatting to them at different times.
I really look forward to taking part in the next
Cyber Crop that they do.

Thanks again to everyone involved in organising the
crop as well as everyone who participated.

Below are my six layouts that I completed.
Happy Scrapping. Tanya x

Scrap the Girls January Challenge

Scrap the Girls January Challenge

It was quite strange doing a challenge this month and
not having any rules or guidelines
No colour scheme or no specific layout style.
I must admit I do like having rules set out as it
makes scrapbooking a layout just a little bit more
fun and exciting and not to mention easier as you don't
have to think about what you are going to do. Anyway
here is my layout for this month, hope you like it.
Enjoy your weekend x

White with 1 January Challenge

White with 1 January Challenge

Typical kids, they're all the same!
You want one nice photo of them at the start of their
school year and what happens?? They push, shove,
pull faces and do the complete opposite to what you ask.
Lucky these two gave me the nice shot before loosing it
and mucking up. No matter what their age they just can't
help themselves. But lucky for me I kept taking photos
and look what I have, evidence that they can get along
even if it is just to annoy me.
Cheers, Tanya

Kraft Plus January Challenge

Kraft Plus January Challenge

This challenge required us to incorporate our
own handwriting on our layout, now that is a
real challenge in itself because I don't like my
handwriting and never ever write on my work.
I'm happy to type up some journaling but handwriting
is no go zone for me usually.

But this challenge has certainly made me think about
writing on my layouts more often because only the other
day I found a piece of paper that is over 18 years old that
said two very special words on it - Hi Tanya
My dad wrote this when he was sick in hospital and he
gave it to my husband who was visiting him while in Melbourne.
He was to bring it home and give to me. My Dad died several
months later and I think that although my handwriting won't
mean anything to my kids now, it certainly will when I'm
no longer around.

Funky Flair January Challenge

Funky Flair January Challenge

Just thought I'd get my scrapbooking mojo back after a
month's holiday. Whilst I don't normally use orange in
my layouts I really like this mood board. And of course I
had to use these photos from Marcus' 15th birthday as the
colour of his basketball cake matched in perfectly.

Happy New Year

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Can you believe we are already getting towards the end of January,
where on earth did that time go?

Well I received some exciting news while I was away on a 4 week family
holiday in America, I got the wonderful news that I had been selected to be
part of the Funky Flair team. What a thrill and honour to even be considered
let alone selected. I am really looking forward to showing off my work. I took
enough photos on my holiday to keep me busy for a very long time ;)

Wishing you all a great 2016, keep creating memories and enjoying life
Tanya xx
