Happy 50th

Hello - Thanks for stopping by.

My favourite die list has just gotten bigger!!!
I have always loved the 16826 Victorian Oval Lattice Frame die
This time when using it I put the centre oval through an embossing
folder to add spotty texture to the centre.

A couple of new dies that I recently received are the
19589 Happy Birthday Chunky Script Die and the gorgeous little
17952 Mini Alphabet dies. They both may be now on my favourite list...hehehe! I did cut down the T and H on the 50TH.

I have covered the Happy 50th Birthday words with Nuvo Crystal
Glaze to finish them off with a shine.

And last but not least are the 19190 Autumn Leaf Outlines Trio Dies
They are awesome. I will be using these on lots of scrapbooking
layouts too. Add a few flowers from my stash and tra la..card done!

STAMPtember Exclusive

Check out these gorgeous Paper Rose stamp set designed exclusively for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember.

These stamps are only available at SimonSaysStamp.com

Here is the card I have made using the gorgeous stamp set.
I'm a bit of a fan of poppies. Red poppies always remind me of those that have served our country, and to them we are truely grateful.

To make this card I have stamped the images, applied some Colour Blast Artist Ink roughly with a paint brush to colour the images and then cut them out when dry.

Inks and stamps are perfect together when you aren't an expert at colouring. I added some mini drills to the centre of the poppies.

Wishing you a world of happiness

Hey, how exciting...it's the weekend again.
They sure do come around quickly!

Today I'm sharing another card using Paper Rose products.
I love a bit of hand stitching on cards and scrapbooking layouts.
I find it quite therapeutic, crazy....I know!

To make this card I have cut out paper just slightly smaller than
Then I've cut white cardstock slightly smaller than the grey paper.

Using light moulding paste and a mixture of blue distress oxides
I have mixed a few different pastes. Using the 18876 Damask Stencil
I have stencilled the paste.

Die cut out three 19193 Simple leaf duo dies from the same paper
as used from the paper collection. Fussy cut out the flowers,
leaves and sentiment from the paper collection.

When the stencilling has dried, distress around the edges of the stencilled cardstock, add the fussy cut pieces and stitch around
the edges of the white cardstock before attaching to your
card front.

Finally add a few of the new cute little 19499 Clear Crystal Mix
to the front of your card.

Fragments card.

Howdy, time to share another Paper Rose card with you.

If you haven't been on the website lately, I'd suggest you pop on over and take a look. Even a die hard fan like me can't keep up with all the new stuff being added constantly.

To make this card I have used white cardstock. First thing I did
was to lay my 19223 Fragments Stencil over the cardstock and attach
them to my messy matt using washi tape.

Using a 18454 blending brush  and Distress Oxides I blended three different purples over the stencil. The Distress Oxides that I used were Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac.

Once the stencil was removed I then diecut the stencilled piece of paper using the fourth smallest 16575 Stitched Rectangle die. I cut four pieces. They were attached to my card using foam tape to raise them slightly.
Using the second smallest of the rectangle dies I diecut out a piece to attach my thanks sentiment too.

The thanks sentiment was diecut using the new
19592 Hugs, Thanks, Hello Chunky Script dies. To get the matching purple for the sentiment I blended the Wilted Violet Distress Oxide onto a scrap piece of white cardstock and then diecut it out.
Sometimes its too hard to try and match papers to suit so why not
just colour your own paper.

And last but not least - the rest of the sentiment is from the
wonderful 19023 Black & White Sentiment Sheets. So many options for sentiments with this pack.

Thanks for stopping by....enjoy the rest of your week.
