It's cake day today for me so I thought why not share a
birthday card I made recently for my niece.
The first thing I did to make this card was to add washi tape
I blended distress oxide onto the card to make the coloured
background. Peel the washi tape off to leave a nice clean
white edge.
Stamp your cupcake image from the 19066 Hey Cupcake stamp set.
I have coloured the image using Stampin Blend markers. Fussy cut
out your cupcake or if you have the matching dies you can die
cut out the image.
Now is the time to use some of the stencils from your stash.
If you are like me you'll have plenty. I may or may not have an addiction!!!
If you don't have many stencils, you could easily use the same
stencil over and over for this card.
I have used 19109 Crosses Stencil, 18870 Flowy Leaves Stencil,
cover my circles. I die cut out the circles using the
16548 Stitched Circles Dies and then stencilled onto the circles
using Colour Blast Colour Paste. I would probably suggest
stencilling straight onto white cardstock and then die cutting
when the paste is dry. Would be much quicker and easier doing
it this way.
I attached the circles and the cupcake, raising the cupcake
and the smaller circles with foam tape. Add your sentiment.
I used a Happy Birthday sentiment from the
19023 B& W Sentiment Sheets and to finish off the card I added
some pastel stars from the 18915 Pastel Stars Shaker Mix.
Enjoy your day
Tanya xx
