Balloon Embossed cards

Hello there

Here are a few cards that I have made using the same 

technique, just different colours.

Put white cardstock into embossing folder and emboss. 

Then rub distress oxide colour onto the embossing folder on the 

side that has the indents. Place the embossed card back into the 

embossing folder and run back through the embossing machine. 

Take out of folder and lightly spray with water to let the colour mix.
Die cut out happy birthday sentiments with matching coloured cardstock.

Fun Vibes Layout

Hi there

Sharing another project for Paper Rose Studio.

I was going to make a Valentines Day card as February is love 

month but I thought I'd scrapbook a layout of the first of 

my two little loves (who is turning 25 this year!!)

To create this layout I have cut my white cardstock to be slightly 

smaller than the black cardstock. 

I distressed the edges and handstitched around the edge. You could 

machine stitch around the edge if your prefer but I love hand 

stitching, call me crazy but I find it therapeutic.

Then stencil onto the white cardstock using light moulding paste 

and the scattered hearts stencil. Once dry spray some black ink 

over the two corners.

Cut your papers into different sized strips and sand the edges. 

Die cut out the envelope and add the seal using pink paper.

Mount photos onto black cardstock and put layout together. I have 

added a few flowers that I had in my stash. Cut out some sentiment 

words from this paper collection to add to your layout.

Sharing another shaker card with you just because 

I love making them. 

Here is how I have made this card:

Stamp your images using different coloured stamp pads. 

Die cut out sentiment using tag die.
Die cut out 5x Spots & Dots Slimline Coverplate. Attach one

 to acetate and them attach the other four diecut pieces to 

the underside of the acetate. Add the shaker mix and cover using a 

piece of white cardstock. Attach to black cardstock and add to 

card front

Ink sprays and stencils

 

Hello there..

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made for Paper Rose. 

I'm not good at messy but really felt like having a play with 

ink sprays through my stencils. 

 I wanted to add large circles to my cardstock. The circles on my stencils were too small so I diecut out circles onto white cardstock using 16548 Stitched Circles Dies 

I then sprayed through the circles with spray inks.

Allow to dry in-between colours as it is only cardstock 

and can't really be wiped clean.

Next I diecut out using the 22489 Slimline Card Creator 

Layer 1 Triangles Die and sprayed inks through onto my 

dried white cardstock. 

Stencil onto black cardstock using the 18885 Mega Spot Stencil 

and Snow White Colour Blast paste. Once dry tear into pieces.   

Stamp the 28246 Text Background Stamp onto white cardstock. 

Tear into two pieces.

Using the 19109 Crosses Stencil, stencil onto coloured i

mages using black gesso. 

Cut out sentiments from 19289 Big Black & White Sentiment Sheets. 
Before putting your cards together, draw around the edge of the white 

card front with a stabile pencil and wet the drawn lines with a paint brush. Put cards together adding some black cotton under the sentiments.

Scandi Gel Print Card

Hello.....

Today I'm sharing a card I made using my Gel Press.

I may have had this gel press and brayer for a few years 

and not really used it... oops!! But 2023 is the year. I'm going 

to use it a lot more, I promise...

To make the prints I have added some paint to the gel press and 

rolled it out with brayer. I placed the stencil over paint 

and then placed paper over the top. I rubbed over the paper with 

my hands and then peeled off the paper to reveal pattern on the paper. 

I played around to get different images from the stencil.I have so much 

to learn and that's the reason 2023 I'm going to play with my 

Gel Press and Brayer more. 

When dry, which is nearly straight away, I diecut using 

the rectangles dies.

So this is what I have used from Paper Rose.

Cut out the circle grid twice onto white cardstock. 

It lines up and fits perfectly if you put the die into one of the 

rows of circles that you first cut to cut the extra circles.

Die cut out the mandala from white cardstock. 

Fussy cut out some flowers and die cut out some circles from 

the die using papers from the Sarah's Story collection.

Stamp your sentiment onto white cardstock and 

raise with foam tape.

Hello for the last time this year.

 Three more sleeps until Christmas, who is organised.??

I'd just like to wish everyone at Paper Rose  

and everyone who is part of the Paper Rose Community 

a very Merry Christmas. Please stay safe and enjoy time 

with your family and friends.

For those of you who get some time off work, enjoy the break 

and hopefully you get time to do a little crafting.

To create this card I have used the 

25996 Rambling Rose Border Die. I cut it out of 

white cardstock and painted it roughly with Distress Oxide.

For my sentiment I have used the 25606 Hand Lettered Thanks Die 

and the 17952 Mini Alphabet Dies.

I have attached them all to a piece of kraft cardstock the 

same size as the card front. I hand stitched around the edge 

before attaching to the card front.

Text Background Cards

 

Hello friends..

Today I am sharing another couple of cards that I 

have made using some gorgeous Paper Rose products.

On both cards I have used the new and fabulous 

28246 Text Background Stamp. I will definitely get lots of 

use out of this stamp.

The 27901 Nature Stroll Titles & Sentiments are awesome 

to add to cards. I have also used different sizes of circles 

from 16548 Stitched Circles Dies for these cards.

On the card below I have used the 21543 Leafy Circles Stencil. 

I have used three different coloured Distress Oxides blended  

through the stencil. 

On this card I have used the same things as the card above. 

I have used the 18867 Cogs & Gears Stencil instead. After 

stamping the image onto cardstock I stenciled through the 

cog stencil using different Distress Oxides and then lightly 

sprayed over the top with water and dabbed it off.

Another year has flown by, hope you are all enjoying the 

craziness of the festive season.

Today I am sharing with you my first of three projects for 

Paper Rose this month.

Those of you that know me, know that I love making shaker 

cards. So here is another one I've made using the  

25675 Heart Window Coverplate

 

Also on this shaker card I have used

17991 Ella's Garden A5 Paper Collection

18915 Pastel Stars Shaker Mix. (You will notice I 

picked out the mint green stars from the shaker mix as I 

only wanted to use the pink stars.)

 For this card I have used all the same products as used on the 

above card. I just cut the Heart Window Coverplate into 

strips and added paper from the paper collection instead of 

shaker mix. 

Art Journal circles

Hello there.

Time to share another design team project for 

Paper Rose Studio.  This time I have created an art 

journalling page. I'm certainly not an expert at art journalling 

but I do have fun creating in my journal.

 

To create this art journal page I stencilled onto the journal 

pages using light moulding paste and the 18391 Hud Stencil.

Once dry I added coloured spray. Allow that to dry then stencil 

 using distress oxides with 26485 Spots & Dots Stencil 

and 18123 Half Tone Stencil 

Stencil using light moulding paste with 

19121 Industrial Elements Stencil.  Ink around edge of 

journal pages, stamp images using 26473 Scribble Circle Duo Stamps
 and 26476 Scribble Circle Trio Stamps.

Draw around some of the circles on the stencil using a 

black marker pen.

Stamp 18021 Colour Wheel Love Stamps image onto white cardstock. 

Colour using distress oxide and then cut out. 

From the 27901 Nature Stroll Titles & Sentiments Die Cuts, choose your sentiments, add to the art journal pages using gel medium.

Fresh Air Layout

Good morning.

Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout that I have done using the fabulous new 27901 Nature Stroll Titles & Sentiments Die Cuts.

They are so simple to use and are perfect for scrapbook layouts.

The papers I used on this layout are from the 

 25705 Serenity Textures 12x12 Paper Collection. I die cut out 

circles using the 16548 Stitched Circles Dies, I have used both 

sides of the papers to get different coloured circles.

A also die cut out circles from white cardstock and stenciled on them using distress oxide and the 19298 Cracked Stencil.

Before putting the layout together I stencilled boots onto the background paper using distress oxide and 21795 Bootprints Stencil.

Pretty in Pink Christmas Cards

Hello...

November already, can you believe it?? 

Today I am sharing some Christmas cards that I have made. 

They are very simple to make, all you need is a 

christmas sentiment die and some cute christmas papers 

to fussy cut out.

These 27739 Pretty in Pink Christmas 1 paper collection and 

27763 Pretty in Pink Christmas Basic paper collection papers 

from Paper Rose are just perfect for christmas cards.

A little bit of fussy cutting, some foam tape and the 

26077 Merry Christmas Block Words die and your cards are done.

Well howdy.

It's time for me to share my last Paper Rose project for October.

I've made a card using the new gorgeous 26380 Mini Envelope Die. 

There are two different envelope dies in the set. 

Firstly I diecut out the scalloped edge from the front of the  

card front using the 25339 Wonky Scallop Edge die.

I then diecut out two of the sentiments and glued them together 

using the 26014 Sending Love & Hugs die. I have done this to 

give it a little more height. It just makes it pop that little bit more.

 

Using the 21171 location markers dies, I chose the markers 

with the hearts on them. There are three different sized markers that 

have the heart on them, they were perfect for what I wanted. The hearts were cut out from 20474 Watercolour Basics 6x6 paper. 

I diecut out the envelope from white cardstock and folded, glued 

three of the sides inwards. 

When attaching the sentiment, use foam tape to lift it off 

the page slightly.
