Leafy Love - Paper Rose Cards

Happy Christmas Eve.

Hope you are all organised and not too stressed for tomorrow.
Such a wonderful day but so much craziness to get prepared
for this one day. Wishing you all a fabulous Christmas and
New Year with all your family and friends.
Stay safe and be kind to yourself.

Today I'm sharing a few more Paper Rose cards with you.
This 18213 Leaves Stencil is so good to use on cards. I have created three different cards using the one stencil.

On this card I have used Tim Holtz Distress Oxides and a
blending brush to blend 3 different blue tones onto some white
card stock. Distress the edges of your paper, add a few
flowers and some string to match the card and you have a
lovely card for any occasion. Add a suitable sentiment or
leave the card as is without a sentiment.

Light modelling paste through the Leaves stencils and you
have a completely different background. I have added a few
foliage die cuts to my flowers on this card. The dies that

I have cut out a couple of the leaves that were stencilled
using light modelling paste. I coloured them with some
Tim Holtz Distress Oxides and splattered some of the
colour onto the background too. The tag is a newbie
from Paper Rose. It is 18412 Stitched Tags. I can see
myself using these dies a lot. Actually I used them to
make all the tags on our Christmas presents this year.
The stamp I used to stamp Best Wishes on the tag is from the

Once again.....have a wonderful Christmas and New Year xx

Thanks cards - Paper Rose

Yay it's the weekend..
Happy Saturday.

Today I'm sharing some Thank You cards I made.
I have used one stencil and three different dies to create
these three different cards.
I have used the new Paper Rose 18427 Waves Stencil
and 18412 Stitched Tags Dies as well as a favourite
background die called 17931 Texture 3 and of course the

All the stencilling through the stencil has been done using
Paper Rose blending brushes and Tim Holtz Distress Oxides.
The blending brushes are super easy to use and are just perfect with these stencils.

ARTastic December DT Layout

The year is coming to a close and so is my time
on the ARTastic design team. I have had a wonderful time
creating layouts for all the wonderful challenges Jane
has made. I have meet some lovely creative people
and loved seeing the layouts that people have created
for our challenges.

Here is my final layout. The inspiration picture is
all about Trimming the tree at Christmas time. The Criteria
is to use stars and ribbon on your layout.

Whilst my photo and layout doesn't look very christmasy,
it was taken just before Christmas because we always forget
to take photos on Christmas day. And one thing I asked for
Christmas was mohave family photos together. This one is of
our daughter Leah and her boyfriend Tamas.

I hope you find some time during this silly season to create
a layout for our challenge. Merry Christmas and stay safe xx

Baby Blue cards - Paper Rose

Yikes.... It's December already.
Time for me to share another set of cards using more
gorgeous Paper Rose products.

On all these cards I have used paper from the

Nothing I love more than a bit of hand stitching on a card.
It's my relaxing time and cheaper than therapy!!
I have used the 16898 Thinking of You die for my sentiment
and bunched the two Baby Blue die cuts together with a
little bit of twine.

The best wishes sentiment has been stamped from the
17892 Cactus Wishes stamp set . I have used the smallest
die from the 16576 Stitched Rectangles die set to make
the tag that I have stamped onto.

And who doesn't love a stencil. I have used one of the
new Paper Rose stencils. It is 18397 Checker Plate
It has three different patterns on the one stencil, perfect
for lots of different cards.

Thanks for stopping by, happy creating xx

White with 1 DT Layout - December 2019

Good morning friends

Today I am sharing my last layout as a design team
member for White with 1. I have really loved being part
of this team.
love the challenges Jane sets. It always gets me thinking
when I have to create a layout using 70% white with a
certain colour. Purple really gets me thinking, its my
least favourite colour and I have hardly anything purple in
my large scrapbooking stash.

I know December is a busy time for everyone but I hope you can
find some time to create a layout for this challenge. Scroll down to see the colour and sketch for this month.

Wishing you a wonderful, fun and safe Christmas and New Year xx

Scrap The Girls - December DT Layout

December already....time sure does go even quicker
this time of the year. Seems like silly season starts
earlier and earlier every year.

This months layout for Scrap the Girls is 'No traditions here'
Take inspiration from what you see or read.

I thought I'd go with the no traditions here, and scrap a
photo of my daughter Leah at Niagara Falls.
Christmas was so different for our family in 2015.
We didn't have a Christmas tree, we didn't have the traditional Christmas roast, prawns and salad and we certainly didn't
have the dry hot Christmas Day that we are used to.
Christmas was fun and different and would I want to do it again
in a different country?? I'm not sure......I didn't enjoy
Christmas Eve in America because I knew the rest of our family
and friends would be sitting together having fun and we were
walking around the shops. But I can't complain because I shared a cold Christmas and New Year with my absolute favourite people.

Paper Rose Circlet Cards

Happy Sunday xx

Today I'm sharing another set of cards that I have
done for Paper Rose.
On these cards I have used the Circlet Background dies.
There are three different dies that all work together or
look great other own too.

On this card I have used the 16808 Circlet Layered Background 1
and 16811 Circlet Background Layered 2 dies. I have kept all
the cut out pieces from the Circlet Background 2 die attached
for a different effect.
I have stamped some flowers onto some coordinating paper. The flowers are from the 18183 Lovely Florals - Blossom stamp set
and so is the stamped sentiment. The sentiment has been
stamped onto a tag from the 17583 Banner 2 dies.

Oh who doesn't love a little bit of hand stitching??
Call me crazy but it is a bit of therapy for me!!
I have stitched each row in a different tone of blue,
starting darker in the middle and getting lighter at on
the outside.
The sentiment stamped onto the tag banner is from
17985 Beautiful Words Stamp set. The word beautiful is from

And last but not least... this card has been made using
all three Circlet Layered background dies.
The sentiment is from the  16874 Happy Birthday Large die

Enjoy the rest of your weekend lovelies xxx

Outback Cards - Paper Rose

Hi friends

I hope everyone is safe from the awful bushfires
that are everywhere at the moment. It is just devastating.

I have created some cards this week using some of
the Australiana dies and the Outback Tones paper collection.

Look how lovely this 17685 Gum Tree die is.
Perfect for scrapbooking layouts and cards.
The paper from the 18171 Outback Tones Paper Collection is
perfect to use with these dies. Represents the Australian
outback just perfectly. The Happy Birthday stamp is from

On this card I have used the 18129 Super Hero Rays Stencil
with the paper from the paper pack. I placed the stencil
under my paper and lightly sanded over the green paper
with my sanding block. I love how the paper now looks like
there are sun rays shining in the distance.
The Best Wishes sentiment has come from the Ticket Creator
stamp set.
I have used the 17718 Sheep family dies  and the

Tearing paper is a simple and easy way to add a quick
mountain to your background.  Again I have used the
Gum Tree die, Farmer with children die and the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Ticket Creator Stamp Set.

ARTastic November DT layout

Hi friends

What a great time of the year...Melbourne Cup Day.
If you're into horse racing like our family is, you'll know
what I'm talking about. Nearly as good a Christmas!

Horse racing is a big part of our family. We have horses that
we absolutely love, we get super excited when our horses have
babies and we become grandparents. Our son has been working with horses for the last few years too. It's in his blood too.
He has one special friend, and that friend is Fundamentalist.
This horse certainly knows who Marcus is when he sees him.
We have some great videos of Marcus and Fundamentalist
together enjoying each others company.

What a perfect challenge Jane has done for the month of November. The criteria is to use Black and White and the inspiration
artwork is from Kristin Hardimann - Stream out of the barriers.
I have a little feeling that Jane may have done this challenge
just for me!!

Picture Perfect Memories - Sketchy Boards November Challenge Layout

Howdy..
Challenge time again at Sketchy Boards.
This months criteria is to use blue in your layout and of course there is a sketch. The picture below shows you the sketch.

As soon as I saw this paper I knew I wanted to use it for this layout. Not the hexagons like in the sketch but hey that's
why it's up for interpretation!!

We'd love to see what you create, come and play along and join in with this months challenge xxx

Cards for him - Paper rose

Happy Sunday to you all

There are always so many options to make cards for females.
Paper Rose have these fabulous Tool Set 1 - 16542 dies that
are perfect for any male cards you want to make.

I love this Spot Background Die 16853, it is so versatile
and can and will be used on lots of cards. You will notice
I have used it different ways on all three cards. On this
card I have cut it out just as it is.

I have used the happy die from the
that I have used is the Alphabet Dies 16844. These are
perfect for any card sentiment and wonderful to use on
scrapbook layouts for a title.

On this card below I have used the same spot background die.
Only difference is I have cut it down slightly and have left the dots in each hole. Once die cut I added some tape behind to
stop the spots from falling out.

Another idea to use your spot background die. I have used
some brown ink and a blending brush and used the die as a
stencil to add light spots on the card background.
See the two pictures below.

I recommend if you stencil through your die like I have.
Use the back of the die rather than the side that cuts.
It's easier to stencil through and you won't have a problem
if you don't clean it properly.

Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting xx

White With One - November DT Layout

Well hello there...

Today I'm sharing a DT layout that I have done for White with 1.
As soon as I saw the inspiration mood board I instantly loved
the numbers and the diamond shapes so decided to add them on my layout.

Hope you find some time to play along. This is the second last challenge for the year, why not give it a go xx

Scrap The Girls November DT Layout

Happy November..
My goodness the time goes quicker the older you get.

Today I'm sharing the layout I did for Scrap the Girls Challenge.
This months criteria was to choose your hangover.
My hangover is wine and a cheese platter!!! Those
two things go perfectly together, it's one of my
favourite past times. One thing I love just as much as
drinking wine and sharing a cheese platter with friends
is making a cheese platter.

What is your hangover???

Paper Rose Ultra Violet Cards

Hey Friends
Time to share some more cards with you.
On these cards I have used some papers from the new
Ultra Violet Paper Collection 18406. They are the perfect
size to cut in half and use on a card, and great to die cut
and stamp on.

On this card I have used the gorgeous Blossom Outline Dies 18168. They have been cut out in white card stock so they stand out
more on the bright pink paper. I have cut out a pink rectangle
and raised it with foam tape. I love this Layered Hello Die 16951, just the perfect size to put on the front of a card.

One circle die from the Stitched Circles Dies 16548, three flowers cut from the Blossom Outline Dies 18168, a little stamped sentiment from Hello Stamp Set 17304 and a few splatters of blue distress oxide and you have this gorgeous and simple card.

Last but not least we have this lovely card using the
been stamped and then embossed with white embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous week xxx
